About the practice
A registered migration practice built around case preparation rather than volume.
SOGO Migration
SOGO Migration is the migration practice of BRILLIANT SUCCESS VISA AND EDUCATION PTY LTD (ABN 78 649 700 765), an Australian company providing immigration assistance through a migration agent registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority.
Simon Chu has advised on Australian migration for over ten years, and the practice has operated under its present company since 2021. Over that time the work has narrowed to two things. The first is employer sponsorship for Australian businesses — building the case for the position so it holds up when a delegate tests it. The second is matters that have already gone wrong: a natural justice notice, a PIC 4020 allegation, an exclusion period, a file that has been sitting in background checking for a year with no way to ask what is happening.
We take the second category because it is where preparation actually changes the outcome. By the time a s.57 notice arrives, most applicants have been told to withdraw. Sometimes that is right. Often it is not — and the difference lies in whether anyone is willing to go back through the underlying records and put a proper answer on the file.
We work in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, which matters more than it sounds: much of the underlying evidence in our files — employment records, company documents, relationship evidence — arrives in Chinese, and it is read here rather than sent out for summary translation.
How we practise
- We assess before we engage. If an application is not viable, we say so at the assessment rather than taking the file and finding out later.
- One agent on your file. The person who assesses your matter is the person who prepares it and the person who answers the Department's questions about it.
- Fixed fees, quoted in writing. Government charges are separate and set by the Department. You know the total before you engage us.
- No guarantees, ever. Registered agents are not permitted to promise outcomes, and any adviser who does is telling you something they cannot deliver.
